Linog\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong><br \/>\nLike a Green Tendril<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Like a green tendril\u2014<br \/>\na beautiful, creeping vine against pale skin\u2014<br \/>\nmy vein climbs from my lower wrist<br \/>\nup towards the palm of my hand, whispering:<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em>\u201cI know of the fate written along these lines.<br \/>\n<\/em><em>I know every twine and every twisted strand.<br \/>\n<\/em><em style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">I bring tidings to your heart.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em>\u201cBut there is hesitance<br \/>\n<\/em><em>in your pulse\u2014in your very being.<br \/>\n<\/em><em>You distrust a heart<br \/>\n<\/em><em>that beats you into living. Live!\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The night thickens<br \/>\nwith a buzzing noise in my ear.<br \/>\nMy skin becomes paler<br \/>\nas all rhythms falter.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Blood spatters and spills on the cold tiles.<br \/>\nMy hand loses its grip.<strong><\/p>\n<p><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Holiness in Surrender<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Give me a soft word<br \/>\nand make me an idiot again.<br \/>\nMake me submit\u2014hands on my knees,<br \/>\nlap folded, eyes lowered.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Steal my breath,<br \/>\nbecause only with you<br \/>\ndo I come alive again.<br \/>\nI come alive again!<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">How is it that I find worship<br \/>\nin complete surrender?<br \/>\nHow is it that I come alive<br \/>\nby being unmade?<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Darling, allow me to bleed\u2014<br \/>\n\u2014and then to bloom beneath.<br \/>\nGive me voice<br \/>\nwhere there is none.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">With you,<br \/>\nI become whole in pieces.<br \/>\nAnd that\u2014<br \/>\nthat I would call holy.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hameeda L.
